Necropolis
London's Journey of the Dead
The London Necropolis Railway opened in 1854 with one aim in mind. This train line was the morbid solution to severe overcrowding in London's graveyards. In the midst of a cholera outbreak, the London Necropolis Railway escorted coffins upon coffins to Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey.
Deep underneath Waterloo Tube Station lays what is rumoured to be the remains of this notorious station, this underground morgue.

Review by SCARETOUR
"Necropolis: London's Journey of the Dead starts out quite simply as a history based piece of interactive theatre. Whether the tale of the Necropolis railway is true or not, the opening scenes have a real sense of believable history about them and the whole group listened closely to stories and situations from the past."
Review by On in London
"What I can tell you is that this is set in 1940, as Hitler’s Luftwaffe relentlessly bombards London. During the Blitz many Londoners were shepherded into the London Underground for their own safety. We are told the gory story of London’s graveyards over-flowing with bodies, with the city forced to use the Necropolis Railway to transport dead bodies on a one-way trip out of London. Rooting this immersive walk in history sets it apart from most Halloween scare-fests."
Review by Hammer Filmes
"The scares came thick and fast as medieval plague doctors crept out of the shadows and we were haunted by the ghosts of England’s prolific serial baby murderer, Amelia Dyer, and a WWI soldier. In the final thrilling climax we ran through narrow cobwebbed passages as Bedlam patients lunged out at us, only to stumble, squinting in the light of Waterloo underground where bemused commuters dodged around us."
